#1 - The Board of Directors and the Activities Committee have been working to get emergency contact information from each resident such that we can gain access to your home if an emergency arises without causing damage to a door or window.  If we don’t have contact information for an individual that can give us an access code, etc., any damage caused by the emergency services personnel gaining entry would be the responsibility of the homeowner.
 
PLEASE NOTE: Access might be needed in response to a requested wellness check, a response to a water leak or fire suppression issue within the quads or duplexes, a continuous fire alarm within a unit with no response to a knock on the door, etc.  
 
We will continue our push to encourage everyone to participate in this program here at Sparkling River.  Please send these completed forms to Sparklingriverweb@gmail.com or leave in black lockbox on Doveton lane.

#2 - In conjunction with our effort, the Hudson Police Dept has a Lockbox Program where they will install a lockbox on the frame of your front door that contains a key to your house (supplied by the resident).   The code to the lockbox is held by the Hudson PD, not by SRCA, and this would allow the PD or Fire Dept to gain access to your home in an emergency. The Hudson PD requires a form to be filled out if you are interested in this program.  We can email you a form upon request.  There is no cost for this program.
 
If enough residents are interested, Hudson PD is willing to come to our Community Center to speak about this program.  Please let us know.
 
PLEASE NOTE: If you live in a quad or duplex in SRCA, you MUST participate in one of these programs and SRCA must know which one you choose.
 
If you haven’t yet responded to our request for contact names and/or you wish to hear more about the Hudson PD program, please contact the Board of Directors.  We would like to get this project completed before the cold weather hits.

Sparkling River Condominium Trash Can Placement and Removal Rules

NOTE - SRCA trash/recycling pickup day is typically Friday morning, unless there is a holiday, when the pickup day would be moved to Saturday morning.

It is best practice to put your trash cans out at the end of your driveway no earlier than the evening before trash pickup is scheduled and remove them from your driveway prior to the

end of the day the trash was picked up. This is more important in the winter in the event of a snowstorm. Trash cans left in the driveway after a snowstorm may result in your driveway not being plowed properly. Our SRCA rules state that trash cans should not be left out in public. Section 7. D. last sentence of our Bylaws states: “All refuse and trash shall be placed in locations specifically designated by the Board, and no garbage or trash shall be permitted to remain in public view.”. There have been instances where people have gone away after putting their trash out and don’t put the containers away until they return. Leaving the trash  containers out at the front of the driveway violates the above-mentioned restriction. More importantly, however is that the trash containers are not aesthetically pleasing to the neighbors and presents a safety issue – advertising an empty house puts us all at risk. If you cannot leave your trash out the evening before or return your trash containers after your trash is picked up, we recommend that you arrange with a neighbor to handle this for you. This is the most common practice adopted by most owners here at SRCA.
